          Sensory Performance Cues Program

NLP Advantage Group Sports Consulting specializes in sensory performance cues- the unique ways athletes use their senses, such as mental pictures and self-talk, to determine sports performance.

Our program quickly identifies and corrects sensory errors that produce tension and negative feelings while strengthening your confidence and mental conditioning.

Learn how to:

  • Minimize slumps

  • Neutralize negative self-talk
  • Improve focus and concentration
  • Create compelling images for success
  • Heighten motivation

  • Recapture the fun of the game

Our program approach is not “sports psychology,” but rather practical performance enhancement. In a few short weeks, you take charge of your thoughts and feelings by learning to identify your unique visual and auditory cues.  These cues often determine excellent performance and drive poor performance.

When you are winning, images and self-talk are automatically confident and function synergistically with the body, resulting in positive performance. When poor performance or injury occurs, you often lose this synergy. Attempts to resolve the problem with visualizations and pep talk may help, but often you need specific strategies to make effective change.

The Sensory Performance Cues Program offers practical solutions
with the following 7 areas of training:

  1. Increase success by developing winning beliefs and emotions
  2. Enhance motivation by identifying goals in specific and vivid detail
  3. Expand sensory awareness by training athletes to direct and shoot their own mental videos
  4. Reduce negative sensory cues that cause poor play, such as shifting critical self-talk from loud, fast and demanding to soft, slow and encouraging
  5. Amplify positive sensory cues that create the right mental and physical state to reach the goal
  6. Connect positive sensory cues to a specific physical movement; e.g., imagine success while simultaneously gripping a bat or golf club
  7. Tap into unconscious abilities, moving from thinking to trusting

This program offers you practical ways to control your “sense-abilities”, so you control your performance.

Our Sensory Performance Cues Program is a broad-spectrum approach with specific applications across a wide variety of sports. Sensory Performance Cues training gives professional athletes that “extra edge” but can be applied at any skill level.
